The lovely Linum Olgae coin is dedicated to a charming flax flower that can be found on the territory of Kazakhstan. Linum (flax) is a genus of approximately 200 species in the flowering plant family Linaceae, growing in temperate and subtropical regions of the world. The flowers of most flax species are diverse in color featured in blue or yellow, rarely red, white, or pink.
The obverse of the Kazakhstan coin is decorated with an embossed composition of leaves. To the left of the image, there are the legends indicating the metal fineness, the pure weight and face value of the coin. The inscription indicating the name of the issuing bank both in Kazakh and English and its logo can be seen along the rim of the coin.
The reverse side of the flax coin features the amazing artistic composition of Linum Olgae flowers. One of them is depicted as a hologram which makes the whole image particularly graceful and moving. To the right of the image, there is the inscription of the issuing year. The reverse also comprises the legends of the flower’s name both in Latin and Kazakh. Presented as a precious gift, this flax coin will surely add special charm and appeal to any celebration.
